NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion women’s soccer head coach Angie Hind announced Demi Maris (Antwerp, Belgium) as the newest member to the team for the 2017 season on Tuesday afternoon. Maris becomes the seventh player to sign a NLI in this recruiting class for Hind and the Lady Soccer Monarchs.

“I am thrilled to have Demi Maris join our squad,” explained Hind. “When getting to know her, it was clear to me that she is ambitious and the type of person that holds the same aspirations and values that we have here in our program. Having played at the youth National level for Belgium, she brings both experience and quality to our defensive line. She has good vision, is composed on the ball and defensively is tough, but also has a good understanding of positioning. I believe she will complement and strengthen our 2017 class even further and so I am very excited to officially welcome Demi to the Monarch family.”
