ODUSports will feature a women’s lacrosse freshman each week during the season for fans to get to know the 2017 freshman class. Today’s Q&A is with Brooke Stein, a freshman attacker from Millersville, Md.

Q: Why choose Old Dominion?
A: It’s close to the beach, the campus is very modern, and the lacrosse program fit everything I was looking for.

Q: Best part about your sport?
A: The opportunities it has given me along the way.

Q: What team are you most looking forward to playing this year?
A: Jacksonville.

Q: Funniest teammate is?
A: Kati Maggio.

Q: Favorite place to hangout on campus that is not lacrosse associated?
A: Whitehurst Beach.

Q: What is your favorite holiday?
A: Christmas.

Q: Are you a road trip or a direct flight kind of person?
A: Direct flight.

Q: What are your favorite foods?
A: Roasted Brussel sprouts & sushi.

Q: What are your favorite music genres?
A: Rap and R&B.

Q: Who are your favorite music artist?
A: Chance the Rapper and Chris Brown.

Q: Who would you like to see in concert that you haven’t yet seen?
A: Bruno Mars.

Q: What are your favorite movies?
A: The Wedding Date and The Hunger Games.

Q: Who are your favorite athletes?
A: Katie Ledecky and Peyton Manning.

Q: Who are your favorite sports teams?
A: Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles.

Q: What are some of your hobbies?
A: Listening to music and making playlists for friends.

Q: What is an interesting fact about you?
A: I had a black tooth when I was younger.

Q: If price didn’t matter, where in the world would you like to travel? Why?
A: South Africa because I have a crazy obsession with lions and I would do anything to play with baby lions.

Q: Who from history would you like meet and dine with?
A: My mom’s father, Grandpa Joe. He passed away before I was born. From all the stories my family has told me over the years I definitely think we would have been really close.

Q: Dogs or cats?
A: Dogs always.

Q: Do you have any pets?
A: Yes. I have a Havanese named Smokey and I love him more than life.

Q: Three things you would take with you on a deserted island?
A: My dog Smokey, Coconut Water and Goldfish

Q: Would you ever go on reality TV? If so which show?
A: Yes. “Chrisley Knows Best”.

Q: Your biggest quark?
A: I have to wear the same headband, use the same hair ties, and do my hair the exact same for every game for good luck.
