NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men’s basketball team (13-8, 6-3 C-USA) welcomes Florida International (5-16, 1-7 C-USA) on Thursday, Feb. 2, before hosting Florida Atlantic (6-13, 2-6 C-USA) on Saturday, Feb. 4. Both games will begin at 7:00 p.m. EST at the Ted Constant Convocation Center and will air on ESPN3.
The Monarchs enter the week riding a two-game win-streak and in a three-way tie for third in the Conference USA Standings. The top four teams after the regular season will receive a first round bye in the 2017 C-USA Tournament.

Old Dominion Senior Associate Athletic Director Ted Alexander will take care of the play-by-play duties, while ODU Hall of Famer and former NBA champion Dave Twardzik will handle color commentary. Ted and Dave’s live pregame show will begin at 7:30 p.m. EST on Thursday and at 6:30 p.m. EST on Saturday.

What You Need to Know
Old Dominion enters Thursday’s contest with the seventh best scoring defense in the nation, as the Monarchs are allowing 61.1 points per game. On Thursday, ODU looks to extend its winning streak to three games after going 2-0 on the Texas road trip last week.
The Monarchs are also in the top ten nationally, for their offensive rebounding numbers per game (14.4), coming in at number nine. Denzell Taylor ranks eighth nationally for hauling down 3.86 offensive rebounds per game, putting him atop the C-USA.
In conference play, the Monarchs are led in scoring by their trio of sophomores Zoran Talley (15.8 ppg), while Ahmad Caver (15.1 ppg) and B.J. Stith (14.3 ppg) follow.
Florida International comes into Norfolk Thursday with a 0-8 record on the road this season and 0-3 in C-USA road games. The Panthers are led by Donte McGill’s 18.3 ppg (4th in C-USA) and 1.8 steals per game (2nd in C-USA). Michael Kessens, is averaging 14.5 ppg and 8.0 rebounds per game (4th in CUSA).
Florida Atlantic enters Saturday’s contest in Norfolk with a 2-5 road record on the season and 1-2 in C-USA road games. The Owls are led by Gerdarius Troutman’s 11.9 ppg in C-USA play, while also ranking 3rd in C-USA in 3pt FG percentage (47%). Adonis Filer follows averaging 10.4 ppg in C-USA games so far on the year.
ALL-TIME SERIES: ODU vs. FIU
-Thursday marks the fourth all-time meeting between ODU and FIU.
-Old Dominion leads the all-time series, 3-0.
-The last time these teams met last season, ODU squeezed passed FIU in Miami, 64-60.
-These teams first met in the 2013-14 season in Miami with ODU handling FIU, 52-36.
