CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Old Dominion men’s basketball team (11-7, 4-2 C-USA) travels to Charlotte (8-9, 2-4 C-USA) for a Saturday night showdown at Halton Arena. Tipoff is slated for 8:00 p.m. EST. The game will air live on the American Sports Network (please see attached for Clearance Sheets). C-USA TV will also offer a free live stream of Saturday’s contest.

Radio for Saturday
Old Dominion Senior Associate Athletic Director Ted Alexander will take care of the play-by-play duties, while ODU Hall of Famer and former NBA champion Dave Twardzik will handle color commentary. Ted and Dave’s live pregame show will begin at 7:30 p.m. EST on Saturday.

What You Need to Know
Old Dominion enters Saturday’s contest with the fifth best scoring defense in the country, as the Monarchs allow just 59.5 points per game. Charlotte on the other hand is averaging 83.2 points per outing in conference play.

Old Dominion ranks eighth nationally for offensive rebounds per game (14.72), while Denzell Taylor ranks sixth in the country for hauling down 4.00 offensive rebounds per game.

In conference play, B.J. Stith leads the Monarchs in scoring (16.7 ppg), while Zoran Talley (15.5 ppg) and Ahmad Caver (13.7 ppg) follow.

In C-USA play, the 49ers have five players averaging double-figures: Jon Davis (16.2 ppg), Anthony Vanhook (11.5 ppg), Adrien White (11.3 ppg), Quentin Jackson (11.0 ppg) and Braxton Ogbueze (10.5 ppg).

Charlotte is 7-3 at home so far this season and 2-2 on their own hardwood in Conference USA play. ODU is 3-2 on the road this season and 1-1 on the road versus C-USA opponents.

-Saturday night marks the 33rd all-time meeting between these two schools.
-ODU leads the all-time series, 19-13.
-These two schools met twice last season, as ODU defeated Charlotte in both games. In Norfolk, ODU won, 74-65. In Charlotte, ODU won in overtime, 74-69.
