ODU Head Coach Dominik Mueller on taking on N.C. State on Friday:
“We are going to start 2017 with a big bang right out of the gate. We will start the new season in Raleigh, NC, where we take on N.C. State on Friday. The Wolfpack finished last year ranked two spots ahead of us, so we are expecting a hard fought match until the end. Their roster is highlighted by senior Nick Horton and freshman Alexis Galarneau, who are ranked 37 and 103 respectively in the first Oracle/ITA College rankings of the year.”

Mueller on the Home Double Header on Sunday:
“With a short turnaround, we can’t wait to finally play in front of our home crowd and the first match will have a tremendous match up for all tennis fans. Richmond’s senior Ben Dunbar had an outstanding fall campaign and is coming to Norfolk being ranked 52 in the country. With a probable match up against Adam Moundir, 24th in the country, tennis fans can expect high quality tennis in an elite college setting. So come out, enjoy great tennis and cheer for your Monarchs!”

Mueller on Excitement of the Season Arriving:
“Sergey [Avdeyev] and I are very excited to start our first spring season with ODU men’s tennis. With the experience of our returners and Coach [John] Brinkman, we will build on our success from the fall and continue to get better throughout the next couple of months.”

Mueller On Attending home Matches:
“We are thrilled to take this journey with this team and we want to welcome you to take this journey with us. We are going to have many exciting home matches on our schedule and with your help, we can make the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center one of the hardest places to win as a visiting team. I know we are all excited and I hope you are excited as well to cheer on your Monarchs and see some outstanding tennis from these young fine student-athletes.”
