NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion men’s basketball team (10-6, 3-1 C-USA) returns home for a pair of Conference USA matchups. First, ODU will take on Southern Miss (5-10, 2-1 C-USA) on Thursday, Jan. 12 at 7:00 p.m. EST on C-USA TV. Then on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 4:00 p.m. EST (originally scheduled for 6:00 p.m.), the Monarchs square-off against Louisiana Tech (10-6, 2-1 C-USA) on the American Sports Network (ASN).

The Monarchs have won three of their last four and five of their last seven contests.

Old Dominion’s defense is allowing just 59.1 points per contest, which ranks sixth in the country. The Monarchs’ 15.13 offensive rebounds per game ranks eighth in the nation.

ODU’s 165 points scored over the last two games is the most in back-to-back games since the 2009-10 season (Logwood/Liberty).

B.J. Stith is coming off back-to-back games in which he set a new career high for points scored (21 at Marshall, 22 at WKU). Trey Porter is coming off a career-high for rebounds, as he hauled down 13 at WKU.

Old Dominion Senior Associate Athletic Director Ted Alexander will take care of the play-by-play duties, while ODU Hall of Famer and former NBA champion Dave Twardzik will handle color commentary. Ted and Dave’s live pregame show will begin at 6:30 p.m. EST on Thursday and then at 3:30 p.m. EST on Saturday.

ALL-TIME SERIES: ODU vs. Southern Miss
-Thursday night will mark the 10th all-time meeting between the two schools.
-ODU leads the all-time series, 7-2.
-Southern Miss defeated ODU last season in Hattiesburg, 73-71.
-These two schools first met during the 1969-70 season, in a game ODU won 95-92.
-ODU won the first six all-time meetings.
-The Golden Eagles are 1-4 all-time at ODU.

-Saturday afternoon will mark the fifth all-time meeting between the two schools.

-LA Tech won the first ever meeting during the 2013-14 season.
