NORFOLK, Va. -- 
The Old Dominion women's basketball team returns to the road this week with contests at Southern Miss on Thursday, Jan. 12, at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT and LA Tech on Saturday, Jan. 14, at 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. CT.

Both games will be streamed live on CUSA.tv and can also be heard on STAR 1310 featuring commentary from Doug Ripley.

Old Dominion (7-8, 2-2 C-USA) is looking to rebound from a 67-62 loss at home to Conference USA preseason favorite WKU on Saturday. Ashley Jackson, who scored a career-high 17 points against WKU, and senior co-captains Jennie Simms and Destinee Young will look to reverse ODU's road woes, as the Lady Monarchs are just 1-6 away from the Ted Constant Center this season.

Jennie Simms leads the team, and ranks second nationally, in scoring at 24.7 points per game and Destinee Young leads C-USA and ranks fourth in the NCAA in double-doubles with 10. As a team, the Lady Monarchs are outrebounding opponents by a margin of 5.8 boards per game, which leads C-USA, while the ODU bench has outscored its opponent's in eight consecutive contests.

Southern Miss (10-5, 2-1 C-USA) owns one of the conference's top defenses, as the Lady Eagles lead C-USA in turnovers forced per game with 22.7 per game and rank second in scoring defense with 59.8 points allowed per game. Offensively, Brittany Dinkins leads Southern Miss with 16.4 points per game.

LA Tech (6-8, 1-2 C-USA) is one of the best offensive teams in C-USA. The Lady Techsters lead the conference in team field goal percentage at 44.8 percent and rank fifth in scoring offense with 68.9 points per game. Three players average 11 points or more for LA Tech, including Jasmine LeBlanc, who is tied for second in the conference in double-doubles with six.
