WINTER PARK, Fla. -- 
The Old Dominion women's basketball team is set to play No. 19/16 Syracuse and Dayton in the Florida Sunshine Classic Dec. 20-21 at Rollins College's Warden Arena.

The Lady Monarchs open the tournament with Syracuse, last year's NCAA runner-ups, on Tuesday, Dec. 20, at 3:15 p.m. and then take on Dayton on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 1 p.m.

Both games will be streamed online at FLSunshineClassic.com and can also be heard live on ESPN Radio 94.1 with commentary from Doug Ripley.

OLD DOMINION (5-3, 0-0 C-USA) NOTES

  • ODU has won four of its last five games
  • Jennie Simms ranks second in the NCAA in scoring (26.6ppg)
  • Destinee Young is averaging a 11.6 points and 10.9 rebounds and is ninth in the NCAA in double-doubles
  • ODU is shooting 42.6% as a team, while holding opponents to 36.0%
