IRVING, TEXAS – Old Dominion University senior offensive lineman Tyler Compton made the 2016 inTouch Credit Union C-USA Football All-Academic Team, Conference USA announced on Thursday.
This is the third-straight season Compton has received the honor from C-USA. Compton earned his undergraduate degree in mathematics and is on pace to receive his MBA this spring. He posted a 3.92 GPA in undergrad work, and holds a 3.77 GPA in his master’s classes.
Earlier this season, Compton was named CoSIDA Academic All-District for the third-straight year.
Compton has played in all 12 games so far this season, including three starts, two at left guard and one at right guard.
Compton and the Monarchs take on Eastern Michigan in the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl on Friday, Dec. 23 at 1 p.m. on ESPN.
