BALTIMORE, Md. - Old Dominion University swimming and diving fell at UMBC over the weekend in both the men's and women's meets. The women dropped a close 158-130 result, while the men fell 167-124.
Colleen VandePoel and Emilie Petit led the way for the women with two wins apiece. VandePoel won the 100 backstroke with a time of 57.05 and the 200 backstroke in 2:03.67.
Petit was a winner in the 200 fly by almost two seconds with a time of 2:07.41 and won the 200 IM in 2:08.25.
The 400 free relay team featuring Sofie Sjoberg, VandePoel, Victorian Barley and Stephanie Norris won in a time of 3:39.15.
Jacob Zeidler led the way for ODU in the pool, winning the 100 breaststroke in a time of 57.48.
Corey Moreno swept the dive events, winning the 1-meter with a score of 303.37 and topping the 3-meter with a score of 281.17.
The 400 free team of Donovan Pope, Caleb Odeke, Graham Thatcher and Zeidler won ina time of 3:12.34.
