NORFOLK, Va. --
The Old Dominion women's basketball team hosts Dartmouth on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 11 a.m. for the sixth annual Education Day game at the Ted Constant Center.

Education Day is an annual tradition that was started by head coach Karen Barefoot. The event welcomes over 7,000 local elementary school students to The Ted. The Education Day game has been a sellout the past two seasons and the crowd of 8,472 is the seventh-highest women's basketball attendance number in Virginia history.

Old Dominion (2-2) is coming off of a 83-52 rout of North Carolina Central on Sunday. Four different Lady Monarchs scored in double figures in the victory, including double-doubles from Jennie Simms and Destinee Young

Simms, who poured in a season-high 33 at Duke on Tuesday, was named the Conference USA Player of the Week for her efforts. It was third time in Simms' career she earned the weekly honor.

Dartmouth (2-2) suffered a 68-60 defeat to Army at home in its last game. Dartmouth is led by head coach Belle Koclanes, who is in her fourth season. Fanni Szabo, who has totaled over 1,000 points in her career, and Kate Letkewicz have paced the Big Green this season, as both are averaging a team-high 11.8 points per game.

The two teams have met only twice before, with ODU winning both previous contests.
