A former walk-on, Ricks broke Craig Wilkins’ single-season record for tackles last season with 123. He leads ODU with 87 tackles, and is 13 away from the first Monarch to have two 100-tackle seasons. A second-team All-Conference USA performer in 2015, Ricks was a semi-finalist for the Brandon Burlsworth Trophy, given to the best player in FBS that started his career as a walk-on. He has 308 career tackles, 32 behind Wilkins for the career lead.
