IRVING, Texas – Adam Moundir (Luzern, Switzerland) of the Old Dominion men’s tennis team was named Conference USA Player of the Month after taking down five nationally ranked opponents in October, including defeating the No. 9 and No. 15 ranked players on the same day.
Moundir’s magical run at the ITA Oracle Master’s ended in the semifinals. Prior to that run, Moundir reeled off two wins at the All-Americans, both being over nationally ranked opponents.
In all last month, Moundir defeated No. 9 Arthur Rinderknech of Texas A&M (3-6, 6-3, 6-4), No. 15 William Bushamuka of Kentucky (6-2, 6-4), No. 54 Maxime Tchoutakian of Baylor (6-4, 6-4), No. 79 Sebastian Heim of UC Irvine (6-1, 6-4) and No. 111 Jeffrey Schorsch of Valparaiso (6-3, 6-7, 6-2).
Moundir and the Tennis Monarchs will be back in action for the Tribe Invite in Williamsburg on Nov. 4-6th.
