LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. - Former Old Dominion long snapper Rick Lovato signed with the Washington Redskins on Saturday.
Lovato become the first Monarch to play in an NFL regular season game last season when he played in week 15 for the Green Bay Packers. He played in a total of four games last season, two regular season, and two playoff games.
A New Jersey native, Lovato was a four-year starter at long snapper for the Monarchs, and earned All-America honors in 2012.
Lovato and the Redskins host Green Bay Sunday night at 8:30 p.m.
