POWELLS POINT, N.C. -- David Langley won the individual title and tournament host Old Dominion finished as runner-ups at the 2016 ODU/OBX Intercollegiate on Tuesday at Kilmarlic Golf Club.
Langley (-9) fired a four-under 67 in the final round to win the top medalist honor by two strokes over UNC Wilmington's Patrick Cover (-7).
As a team, the Monarchs (-6) finished just one stroke behind Campbell (-7), who repeated as team champion. In a dramatic finish, with the team scores tied at -6, Campbell's Aramin Kraivixien sunk a 20-foot putt to birdie the 18th hole and give the Fighting Camels the team title.
Calvin Greschner (-1) also placed in the top 10 for ODU, firing a final round of 67 to finish tied for eighth. Rounding out the Monarch lineup were Antonio Cruz-Conde (+2, t18th), Michael Bakker (+6, T28th) and Nick Rencis (+7, t32nd).
This tournament concludes the fall season for the Monarchs. Today's result nearly gave ODU its second team title of the fall, as the Monarchs won the Patriot Intercollegiate in late September
