BOONE, N.C. - Old Dominion travels to Boone, North Carolina, to play Appalachian State on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 3:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on the American Sports Network as well as ESPN3.
• Old Dominion won its season-opening game for the third-straight season with a 54-21 win over Hampton on Sunday afternoon. The game was postponed due to Tropical Storm Hermine.
• The Monarchs begin a stretch of three-straight road contests in the state of North Carolina, traveling to Boone to play Appalachian State on Saturday.
• This will be the second meeting between the two teams. Last season, App State defeated ODU in Norfolk, 49-0. It was the first time in school history the Monarchs were shutout.
• Junior Ray Lawry led the way for ODU in the season-opening win against Hampton, rushing for 110 yards and a touchdown, and catching two passes for 60 yards and a touchdown. On the first play of the game, Lawry caught a 59-yard touchdown pass from David Washington.
• Quarterback David Washington tied his career-high with four touchdown passes in the win over Hampton. He was 10-of-18 for 187 yards before exiting midway through the third quarter.
• Senior wide receiver Zach Pascal caught a team-high five passes for 63 yards and a touchdown. Pascal has caught a pass in all 37 games he has played.
• Senior TJ Ricks led ODU with nine tackles in the win over Hampton and had one pass breakup. Last season, Ricks led Conference USA and set a single-season school record with 123 tackles.
• Sophomore defensive end Daniel Appouh recorded the first two sacks of his career. It was ODU’s first two sack game since Alex Arain had 2.5 sacks against Coastal Carolina in the 2012 FCS playoffs.

Junior running back Ray Lawry has set single-season ODU rushing records both of his first two seasons. He rushed for 947 his freshman year and led Conference USA with 1,136 last year as a sophomore. His 2,083 is the most in a career in Monarchs history.
In 24 career games, Lawry has rushed for more than 100-yards 12 times.
