NORFOLK, Va. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the invitation of Old Dominion men’s tennis junior Adam Moundir into its 32-player singles draw for the 2016 Oracle ITA Masters event set for Oct. 13-16 in Malibu, California. Moundir earned Conference USA’s automatic bid, after being named C-USA Player of the Year a season ago.
One of four national championship events on the college tennis calendar, the annual Oracle ITA Masters features 28 student-athletes who earned bids from their respective conferences plus four student-athletes who received wild cards or at-large selections.

Last season, Moundir was named the C-USA Player of the Year, the Most Outstanding Player of the Conference USA Tournament and earned All-Conference USA Singles First Team recognition after compiling a 17-5 record in the No. 1 slot and posted a 5-0 mark against C-USA opponents. He claimed victory in 16 of his last 18 matches and ended the year on a 12-match win-streak. Furthermore, the Swiss product defeated three nationally ranked opponents, including a straight-set win over No. 18 Dovydas Sakinis of Dartmouth. He was a two-time C-USA Player of the Week, as well as a C-USA Honor Roll honoree a season ago.
