Old Dominion Falls to No. 4 UVA, 4-0

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Old Dominion women’s soccer team (1-3-0) fell to No. 4 nationally ranked Virginia (4-0-0) by a 4-0 score on Sunday afternoon at Klöckner Stadium. Sunday’s match was the sixth ever meeting between the two teams.

The Cavaliers scored first in the 8th minute off a goal from Veronica Latsko. Latsko struck again in the 11th minute on a goal, which was assisted by Megan Reid.

In the 21st minute, Latsko completed her hat trick, giving her four goals on the season, which gave UVA a 3-0 advantage heading into the locker rooms at halftime.

Virginia scored its fourth and final goal in the 61st minute, when Zoe Morse finished off a Latsko assist to give the Cavaliers a 4-0 lead and ultimately victory on Sunday in Charlottesville.

ODU’s Krista Moisio collected four saves on the day.                   

Old Dominion will return home on Thursday, Sept. 1 to take on William & Mary at the ODU Soccer Complex at 7:00 p.m.
