BARCELONA, Spain – Five Monarchs scored in double-figures, as the Old Dominion men’s basketball team outscored Toulouse Basket (France) 22-10 in the third quarter and 47-24 in the second half to claim an 85-48 victory on Tuesday in the fourth and final game of the Spain trip.
Brandan Stith (eight rebounds) and Randy Haynes led the Monarchs with 12 points each, respectively. Aaron Carver nearly recorded a double-double, going for 11 points on 3-6 shooting to go along with nine rebounds, seven of which were offensive.
Also in double-figures for Old Dominion, were B.J. Stith (11 points) and Denzell Taylor (10 points and nine rebounds).
ODU will leave Europe with a 3-1 overall record, as its one loss came by just one point to the Madrid All-Stars, a team that the Monarchs would come back and beat by 30 two days later.
Tomorrow, ODU will visit Parque Guell, before touring Sagrada Familia, followed by a Farewell Dinner. The Old Dominion travel party will return to Norfolk on Thursday, Aug. 25th.
