NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University senior linebacker TJ Ricks was named to the College Football America 2016 Yearbook Mid-Major Starting Lineup, CFA’s version of an All-America team.
Last season, Ricks led Conference USA and set an Old Dominion single-season record with 123 tackles. He added 5.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and an interception in the season finale against Florida Atlantic. He notched six double-digit tackle games.
Ricks was named a semi-finalist for the Brandon Burlsworth Trophy, given to the nation's best player that started their career as a walk-on.
Previously this off-season, Ricks was named to the Butkus Award Watch List given to the nation's best linebacker and the Nagurski Trophy, to the top defensive player in college football.
