Throughout the summer ODUSports.com will talk to coaches and student-athletes to get to know them better. Today's Q&A is with sophomore wide receiver, Travis Fulgham.

Q: You mainly played basketball and only two years of football in high school. How was the transition from high school to college football?
A: The speed of the game is a lot different, of course. I also went to a very small high school so transitioning and adjusting to a bigger college, and playing with a lot older players took some time.

Q: You came to ODU as a walk-on, but earned a scholarship soon after. What does the scholarship mean to you?
A: It means a lot. Earning a scholarship was one of my main goals coming in as a freshman. I'm glad I was able to earn it in such a short period of time.

Q: Why did you choose Old Dominion?
A: It was the only Division I school that gave me an opportunity, so the choice was pretty easy.

Q: What is your major?
A: Sport management.

Q: Do you have any unique pre-game rituals?
A: Not really. I'm not the type of person to listen to music before the games. I just like to chill before the game.

Q: Who is your favorite athlete, why?
A: Lebron James. You can't go wrong with Lebron, he does everything on and off the court.

Q: Favorite memory at ODU so far?
A: I have to say the overtime win, when Dave (David Washington) caught the touchdown pass in overtime, and the whole team rushed the field.

Q: What's on your playlist?
A: Travis Scott, Kanye West, and some Wiz Khalifa.

Q: What emoji that describes you the most?
A: Probably the smiley emoji, because I like to smile a lot and I'm always happy.

Q: Favorite NFL team?
A: New England Patriots. My dad grew up in the Massachusetts area, so it just passed down to me.

Q: Who is the funniest guy on the team?
A: The funniest and definitely the weirdest person is Dave (David Washington).

Q: If you could choose one place to visit, where would you go, and why?
A: The Maldives. I wanted to go there already when I lived overseas as a kid, but I never had a chance.

Q: Where did you live overseas?
A: India, South Africa, Jordan and Egypt. My mom worked for USAID (United States Agency for International Development) so we moved every few years.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Norfolk?
A: Dirty Buffalo.

Q: What are your goals for the upcoming season?
A: To do whatever it takes to help my team to win.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?
A: Hopefully the NFL, playing for the Patriots.
