OMAHA, Neb. - Former Old Dominion University swimmer Reed Mathews swam a career-best time of 1:59.10 in the 200 fly and sits in 17th place, first alternate for the finals.
Mathews won the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) championship in the 200 fly and was second in the 100 fly. He holds ODU records in both the 100 and 200 fly and the CCSA record in the 200 fly.
The 200 fly finals are tonight in the second session, which starts at 6:45 p.m.
