NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University Football featured six players on the Athlon Sports preseason All-Conference USA team, led by first-team selections Ray Lawry and TJ Ricks.
Lawry, and second-team all-conference honoree as a sophomore, led the league with 1,136 yards rushing and finished second in the league with six 100-yard rushing games.
Ricks, also a second-team performer last year, led Conference USA with 123 tackles and finished 11th in the country in tackles per game.
Another second-team all-conference player in 2015, Zach Pascal was named second-team preseason all-conference had 68 catches for 970 yards and eight touchdowns in 2015. He also rushed for a 75-yard touchdown, the longest play of the season.
Defensive end Oshane Ximines earned preseason second-team accolades after receiving all-freshmen team honors as a freshman. Ximines led the Monarchs with five sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss in 2015.
Cornerback Aaron Young also earned second-team honors. Young started all 12 games at corner, finishing fifth on the team with 59 tackles with one interception.
A former walk-on who earned a scholarship this off-season, cornerback Brandon Addison was named to the preseason fourth-team all-conference. Addison led the Monarchs with 11 pass breakups in 2015 while registering 38 tackles.
