NORFOLK, Va. – Former Old Dominion men's basketball forward Nick Wright will join WNBA All-Star and former Lady Monarch Ticha Penicheiro in Bam Bam’s Spring Jam Celebrity Basketball game, held at the Ted Constant Convocation Center on Saturday, May 28 at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance at www.YNotTix.com or the night of the game. All proceeds benefit the Kam Chancellor Foundation. Chancellor, a Maury High School alum and current Seattle Seahawks safety, started the non-profit organization to equip children from underserved communities in Hampton Roads and Seattle areas with educational, health, and wellness tools and resources to position students for greater academic success.
Nick Wright was a four-year letterman at Old Dominion and was a team captain his senior season. Wright redshirted the 2008-09 season, before playing for the Monarchs from 2009-2013. Before attending ODU, Wright played at Nansemond River High School in Suffolk, Va.
