MERCER, Ga. -- Ashmore Standing has been named the Atlantic Sun's Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week for the third time this season, the league announced on Monday.
Following an eight-goal weekend, Standing finished as the regular season leader in the conference in both goals (59) and points (71), marking the second consecutive year the redshirt senior has led the A-Sun in goals.
The Virginia Beach native opened the weekend with a three-goal performance in the Lady Monarchs' 17-12 victory over Detroit and followed that up with five goals to lead ODU over Central Michigan, 17-8, on Sunday.
Standing reached the 200-point milestone in the win over Detroit and moved into second place on the ODU all-time points list and third on on the all-time goals list, passing the great Anne Windover on both lists. Standing is also just nine goals away from breaking the ODU single-season goal record of 67 set by Cathy Large in 1987.
Standing was also named A-Sun Player of the Week on March 15 and April 19.
