Simmermacher, Vlasinova, De Corte Earn All-Conference Recognition

IRVING, Texas -- Three Old Dominion women's golfers earned All-Conference Awards, as was announced by the C-USA office on Wednesday. Maggie Simmermacher received second team All-Conference recognition while Katerina Vlasinova and Charlotte De Corte landed a spot on the third team All-Conference list. 

Second team selection Simmermacher, a sophomore from Buenos Aires, Argentina, turned in four top-10 finishes this season including a 10th-place finish last week at the Conference USA Championships in Fort Myers, Florida. Leading the team with a 75.00 season stroke average, she accumulated two C-USA Women's Golfer of the Week awards in her sophomore campaign. Off the course, Simmermacher earned C-USA All-Academic Team honors and was named to the Conference USA Academic Commissioner's Honor Roll. 

Third team selection Vlasinova, a sophomore from Trebic, Czech Republic, registered six top-20 finishes throughout her sophomore season and earned C-USA Women's Golfer of the Week after a ninth-place result at the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic, the nation's largest collegiate golf tournament. Also excelling in the classroom, Vlasinova was named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll. 

Also earning third team All-Conference recognition, Charlotte De Corte recorded four top-10 finishes in her rookie campaign. The Londerzeel, Belgium native led all Lady Monarchs in the fall with a stroke average of 74.33. De Corte earned C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll distinction for excelling in academics as well.
