TEXARKANA, Ark. -- ODU men's golfer David Langley fired a one-under 71 in round two of the Conference USA Championships in Texarkana, Arkansas to move into ninth place while ODU dropped to seventh place as a team.
No. 38 UAB leads the team race through two rounds and is six strokes ahead of second-place LA Tech and Middle Tennessee. ODU is in seventh place just two strokes behind UTSA and UTEP.
The Monarchs' Langley impressed in round two with a one-under 71 to climb up to ninth place heading into tomorrow's third round. Nick Rencis heads into round three in 17th while Antonio Cruz-Conde is in 23rd.
Through two rounds, Old Dominion leads all 13 teams for most birdies with 30. Current tournament leader UAB is in second with 27.
Rencis is tied for the second-best par three average (3.00) of all 65 golfers, and Langley is tied for the second-lowest par four average (4.05). Cruz-Conde is tied for the most birdies in the tournament with eight.
Round three begins at 9 a.m. (ET) tomorrow from the Texarkana Country Club.
