NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University Football practiced for the 15th and final time this spring on Saturday afternoon at Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium.
The Monarchs planned on playing a full game but ended up playing about 27 minutes due to a storm late in the first half with the Blue Team leading 21-12.
The Blue Team got on the board first with a 60-yard touchdown drive capped off with an eight year touchdown run from Shuler Bentley.
The White Team closed the gap with a Brad Davis 23-yard field goal to make it a 7-3 Blue Team lead.
Gemonta Jackson increased the Blue Team lead to 14-3 with a 52-yard touchdown run.
On the very next play, Blake LaRussa tossed a 60-yard touchdown toss to Marquese Little to make the score 14-10.
Bentley then drove the Blue Team on a 68-yard scoring drive hitting Jonathan Duhart down the left sideline for a 32-yard touchdown for a 21-10 lead.
Following defensive stands by both teams, the Blue Team started possession at its own one. On third and long, Jude Brenya forced an intentional grounding call to make the score 21-12.
The game was stopped with 2:44 left in the first half.
