NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion women's lacrosse team held a graduation ceremony for its seven seniors on Saturday morning in the L.R. Hill Sports Complex.
"It was a true graduation," said haed coach Heather Holt. "Ragean Hill, one of our academic advisors, put on an amazing event this morning. It was a really nice event for our seniors."
The commencement ceremony was held in order to honor the senior class who will miss the university commencement due to the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship May 5-8.
The seven seniors honored included Imani Black, Maggie Clough, Alex Danks, Morgan Gallagher, Missy Koscinski, Mary Margaret McCaleb and Ashmore Standing.
President John R. Broderick, Athletic Director Dr. Camden Wood Selig, Vice Provost for Academic Affairs Brian Payne and Associate Vice Provost for Graduate Studies Robert Wojtowicz were all in attendance for the ceremony and offerered remarks to the seniors and those in attendance.
Families, relatives and friends of the seven members of the senior class were also in attendance, in addition to university and athletics faculty and members of the ODU lacrosse team.

The Lady Monarchs then defeated Howard, 20-4, in the team's regular season finale. The team has a pair of away games next weekend before heading to Kennesaw, Georgia, for the A-Sun Championship May 5-8.
