IRVING, Texas – Ingrid Vojcinakova of the Old Dominion women’s tennis team was one of seven student-athletes to be named to the 2016 C-USA Tennis All-Academic Team and was just one of two honorees to be named to the squad for the second consecutive season.
Conference USA's commitment to excellence, both on the tennis court and in the classroom, continues to show as seven women's tennis student-athletes have been named to the 2016 C-USA Tennis All-Academic Team, as voted on by the leagues sports information directors. Honorees must hold a minimum 3.2 GPA and have competed in at least 75 percent of their team's scheduled matches.
Vojcinakova has been just as impressive on the court as she has been in the classroom, compiling a 14-2 overall record in singles action already this season for the Lady Tennis Monarchs. She has won seven matches in a row and has also claimed victory in 12 of her past 13 matches.
Vojcinakova holds a 3.80 GPA as a civil engineering major and has made Dean’s List every possible semester of collegiate career. In the Fall of 2013, 2014 and 2015, she not only made the C-USA Honor Roll, but she also earned a Conference USA Academic Medal (3.75 or higher GPA) all three years as well.
The No. 4 seeded Lady Tennis Monarchs will play in Quarterfinal action of the C-USA Tournament on Thursday, April 21 at 10:00 a.m. EST.
