IRVING, Texas -- Old Dominion women's golfer Maggie Simmermacher was named C-USA Golfer of the Week for the second time this season and the fifth time in her young career, as was announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
The sophomore from Buenos Aires, Argentina recorded her fourth top-10 finish of the season last weekend, earning 10th place at the River Landing Classic in Wallace, North Carolina. Simmermacher fired a 81-72-73=226 while registering the fourth-lowest par four scoring average (4.20) of all 75 golfers. After closing out day one of the River Landing Classic in 49th place, she shot an even 72 in round two and a one-over 73 in the final round to crack the top 10.
Simmermacher earned her first C-USA Women's Golfer of the Week distinction of this season on March 30 after taking fifth at the Henssler Financial Intercollegiate in Kennesaw, Georgia.
