Q: Why ODU?
A: They were really the only school that recruited me and I wanted to play in college. Plus, I lived in Virginia before I moved to Florida so I wanted to come back.
Q: What are you currently studying?
A: Criminal justice.
Q: What got you into football?
A: I was about six years old and my dad asked me if I wanted to play football. He played in college so he thought it would be good for me.
Q: What is your favorite part about being on the team?
A: I’d have to say the team camaraderie.
Q: Favorite football memory so far?
A: The first game I played in against Charlotte, we scored on the first three drives and I made all three field goals.
Q: What is the hardest part about being a kicker?
A: I think it’s getting respect and being taken seriously as a football player.
Q: Did you play any other sports in high school?
A: Yes, I played lacrosse, wrestling and ran track.
Q: What’s your favorite part about Hampton roads?
A: I would have to say the good food places like Dirty Buffalo. You don’t have a lot of places like that in Florida.
Q: Coming from Florida, is it hard being away from home?
A: Yeah, I love my family and I made a lot of friends in Florida, so I miss them. I also miss the weather, it’s so warm there.
Q: What hobbies do you have outside of football?
A: I like to box. I have gloves and pads in my apartment and sometimes my roommates box each other.
Q: Do you have any pregame rituals?
A: I hydrate, then I light incense and meditate. If there is a piano at the hotel we are staying at, I play the piano. I also do some stretching, ice and listen to my metal.
Q: Who’s your role model?
A: My mom and dad. They are the “silent warriors.” They always told me not to talk or hype yourself up and instead let your actions prove to everyone how good you are.
Q: Favorite music artist
A: Lamb of God.
Q: Favorite part of game day
A: Running out on to the field before the game. Especially during the FAU game last year, when the B52 bomber flew over the stadium.
Q: Goals for the season?
A: Coach Wilder always tells us to aim high, so first team All C-USA. I also want to hit more touchbacks this season.
