ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Old Dominion sailing team was in action on Saturday and Sunday at the Navy Spring Women's Regatta in Annapolis as well as at the John Jackson Team Race in Alexandria, Virginia.
The Lady Monarchs reeled in a 17th place finish at the Navy Spring Women's, placing ahead of Roger Williams and Michigan. Grace Mason and Kaylie Gallagher took 14th in Division A, placing ahead of opponents from Harvard, South Florida and Michigan, among others. In Division B, Olivia Windemuller and Katelyn Talley grabbed 17th place ahead of opponents from Roger Williams and Michigan.
At the John Jackson Team Race, ODU turned in a sixth place finish ahead of Cornell and Jacksonville. The Monarchs were represented by Lee Dumaliang, Jack Elkin, Ethan Lounsbury, Jeremy Herrin, Joe David, Stephen Guglielmo, Carter Little and Abigail Lockler.
The Monarch sailors are back on the water in Annapolis again next weekend as they will compete in the Graham Hall Team Race on Saturday, March 19.
