NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University senior swimmer Reed Mathews was selected to compete at the 2016 NCAA swimming championships on March 23-26 at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center.
A native of Denver, Colorado, Mathews was selected in the 200 fly. Mathews set an ODU and CCSA record in the event at the CCSA Championships with a time of 1:43.04. He also owns the school record in the 100 fly and recorded an NCAA B-cut time with a 46.61.
Sidni Hoxha was the last men’s swimmer to reach the NCAA Championships in 2014, who competed in the 50, 100 and 200 free. Rachel Eckert became the first ever Monarch diver to compete in the NCAA Championships last season.
