ATLANTA, Ga. - Freshman Ashley Brem pulled off a second place finish in the 100 breaststroke Friday night at the Conference USA Championships at Georgia Tech.
Brem earned her second place finish with a time of 1:01.74, just .05 off of first place
The 400 medley relay team of Colleen VandePoel, Brem, Mackenzie Payment and Morgan Johnson finished in third place with a time of 3:45.10.
Johnson earned a sixth place finish in the 200 free with a time of 1:49.91.
Colleen VandePoel set a new school record in the 200 backstroke to a fifth place finish with a time of 54.27.
The final day of the championships continue tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. with the prelims and 6 p.m. for the finals.
