NORFOLK, V.A. – UTEP (17-11, 9-6 C-USA) has won six straight and sits a half game ahead of Old Dominion (15-12, 8-6 C-USA) in the Conference USA standings and will visit the Ted Constant Convocation Center Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are vying for one of the top four seeds to ensure a first round bye in the conference tournament. The game will air on FOX Sports Network.

The Monarchs are 0-2 all-time against the Miners. UTEP currently sits in fifth place in the C-USA standings, while ODU rests in sixth.

LAST TIME OUT FOR OLD DOMINION
Trey Freeman led three Monarchs in double-figures with 20, but it wasn’t enough as Marshall (15-12, 11-3 C-USA) took down Old Dominion by an 82-65 score at Henderson Center in front of a crowd of 8,520 on Saturday night. The 8,520 total fans was the most for a Marshall home game in five years. The win was the Thundering Herd’s fourth in a row.

Also in double-digits for the Monarchs was Brandan Stith with 18 points (7-12 FG and 4-5 FT) to compliment seven boards, as well as freshman Zoran Talley, who went for 12 points and five rebounds. Old Dominion held a 38-24 advantage for points in the paint for the ballgame.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS FOR OLD DOMINION
For the season, Trey Freeman is leading the way for the Monarchs averaging 21.4 ppg and 3.8 rpg. Aaron Bacote is averaging 12.9 points a contest, while Brandan Stith is netting 10.3 ppg to compliment 9.2 boards per contest. Zoran Talley is averaging 8.3 points and 4.8 rebounds, while Nik Biberaj is chipping in 5.1 points per outing to go along with 3.8 boards.

Old Dominion is averaging 67.1 points a game, while holding opponents to 62.5 points on 40% shooting from the floor and 31% from long-range. The Monarchs turn the ball over 9.1 times per game, while forcing opponents into an average of 11.0 forced turnovers per contest.

MEET UTEP
The Miners (17-11, 9-6 C-USA) are currently riding a six game win streak, with their last loss at LA Tech on January 31. UTEP sits fifth in C-USA, a half game ahead of Old Dominion and a half game behind LA Tech.

UTEP has five players averaging in double-digit scoring, led by Lee Moore who tallies 15.1 ppg, with six games of 20 points or more.

UTEP allows 77.4 points per game on 43.9% from the field and 35.1% from long range.
