MACON, Ga. -- Connor Carson has been named the Atlantic Sun's Player of the Week, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Carson played a key role in ODU's 2-0 start to the season, as she netted a total of five goals in the Lady Monarchs' victories over Longwood and Campbell last week.
The Charlottesville native scored two goals and added one assist in the 14-13 win over Longwood in the season opener on Wednesday. Carson also caused two turnovers and recorded five draw controls in that contest.
The junior midfielder followed up that performance with a three-goal outing in the thrilling 12-11 win over Campbell on Saturday. With the score deadlocked at 11-11 and just eight seconds remaining on the clock, Carson converted a free position attempt for the game-winning score. Aside from the hat trick, Carson also tallied two ground balls and two draw controls in Saturday's matchup.
