ATHENS, Ga. - Reed Mathews won the 200 fly in a Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Championship record and ODU record as Old Dominion University men's swimming and diving finished in third place out of eight in the championships.

Mathews crushed the old CCSA meet record in the 200 fly by almost four seconds by recording an NCAA B-cut time of 1:43.04 while Chris Prewitt added a fourth place finish.

Anton Mikaelsson added a third place finish in the 200 backstroke in a time of 1:47.45.

In the final event of the event, the Monarchs took a second place in the 400 free relay.  The team of Anton Mikaelsson, Graham Thatcher, Jacob Ziedler and Vitor Sa finished in a time of 2:59.09.

ODU diving coach Noah Scully was named the Co-Diving Coach of the Year, marking the second-straight year he has received the honor, as last year he was named the C-USA Diving Coach of the Year.

The Monarchs registered seven NCAA B-Cut times while Reed Mathews won the 200 fly and as a team, won the 400 Medley relay.
