THE ALL-TIME SERIES – WKU vs. OLD DOMINION
Western Kentucky holds a 16-13 advantage in the all-time series against Old Dominion. The teams split last season, each winning on their own hardwood. Prior to last season, the two teams had not met since the 1990-91 season. The first time these two schools ever met in basketball was during the 1970-71. The Hilltoppers won the first six games in the all-time series with ODU.
LAST TIME OUT FOR OLD DOMINION
Zoran Talley's potential game-tying three-pointer with two seconds remaining came up short and Old Dominion fell to Middle Tennessee, 64-61, on Saturday afternoon at the Ted.
Middle Tennessee led by as many as six in the final minute, but the Monarchs rallied to close the gap to two after a Trey Freeman triple with 10 seconds remaining. The defeat comes just two days after the Monarchs had their 32-game home winning streak snapped by UAB in a 72-71 overtime loss.
Overall, the Monarchs outrebounded the Blue Raiders, 37-32, but Middle Tennessee was able to shoot 47.2 percent from the field, while ODU shot 40.4 percent.
Freeman tied his career high with 28 points, while Bacote added 13 points and four assists and Talley contributed 11 points and nine rebounds.

MEET WKU
After a third-straight 20-win season in 2014-15, becoming the first head coach in WKU’s illustrious men’s basketball history to do so in each of his first three full seasons at the helm, Ray Harper is in the midst of his fourth full season and fifth overall as Hilltopper head coach in 2015-16.
In four seasons under Harper, the Hilltoppers are 9-2 in conference tournament action, resulting in two championships and automatic berths to the NCAA Tournament in 2012 and 2013. WKU has secured 20-win seasons in each of the last three seasons, including in 2014-15 in its inaugural season in Conference USA.
The Hilltoppers are coming off an 81-76 win at North Texas, WKU improving to 10-8 on the season and 2-3 in Conference USA play, and North Texas falls to 7-11 overall and 2-3 in league action. The win was WKU’s first on the road this season and snapped a six game road losing streak dating back to the final road contest last season.
Justin Johnson leads three Western Kentucky players averaging double figures per game at 16.8 points per contest to compliment a team-high 7.9 rebounds, while Aaron Cosby (12.1 ppg) and Chris Harrison-Docks (10.3 ppg) follow.
