NORFOLK, Va. -- Senior Sarah Breen was recently selected to the 2015 Longstreth / NFHCA Division I All-American Field Hockey team, as announced by the NFHCA on Monday, Dec. 7.
The honor marks the third selection for Breen, after earning third team honors as a freshman and junior. She led the team with 23 points on 10 goals and three assists during her senior campaign and finished the regular season ranked fifth in the BIG EAST in goals scored. Breen capped the season by earning All-BIG EAST First Team laurels, marking her fourth career conference award and her third first team selection. She also earned her fourth-consecutive all-region nod and her third first team selection over her career. Over her four seasons with ODU, she notched 104 points on 44 goals and 16 assists.
The Lady Monarchs finished the season with a 9-10 record and advanced to the semifinals of the BIG EAST Tournament. ODU took down five teams ranked in the NFHCA Coaches Poll during the season, including No. 5 Wake Forest.
