MIAMI, Fla. – Iris Achterhof and Grace Haverly of the Old Dominion women’s soccer team were named to the 2015 C-USA Soccer Championship All-Tournament Team on Sunday, as announced by C-USA officials.

2015 Conference USA Freshman of the Year, Iris Achterhof, had herself quite a tournament, playing a part in all three of the Lady Soccer Monarchs’ goals. She scored the game-winning goal in the Quarterfinals of ODU’s upset win over No. 3 seeded Florida Atlantic. Also in the Quarterfinals, Achterhof assisted Old Dominion’s first goal. Achterhof then scored the match’s first goal in the Semifinals against No. 2 seeded Marshall to give ODU an early 1-0 advantage. Achterhof finished the season with eight goals and five assists, each the team.

Old Dominion captain Grace Haverly also earned a spot on the 2015 C-USA Soccer Championship All-Tournament Team, anchoring the midfield for the Lady Monarchs’ in both games. Haverly scored the first goal of the tournament for the Old Dominion, when she one-timed an Achterhof corner into the back of the FAU net, giving ODU a 1-0 lead at the time. Haverly finished the season with three goals and two assists.
