NORFOLK, Va. -- Catalina Barahona, Sarah Breen and Kealsie Robles have been selected to the 2015 Longstreth / NFHCA Division I All-Region Field Hockey team as announced by the NFHCA on Monday, Nov. 30. The 2015 Longstreth / NFHCA Division I All-American Teams will be announced on December 7th.
Breen earned her fourth-consecutive all-region nod and her third first team selection over her career. She led the team with 23 points on 10 goals and three assists during her senior campaign and finished the regular season ranked fifth in the BIG EAST in goals scored. Breen capped the season by earning All-BIG EAST First Team laurels, marking her fourth career conference award and her third first team selection. Over her four seasons with ODU, she notched 104 points on 44 goals and 16 assists.
Barahona picked up second team honors after leading the defense to three shutouts and a 1.74 goals-against average. She topped the conference rankings with three defensive saves, which also ranked 24th in the nation. During the season, she dished out six assists and scored the game-winning goal in overtime against Wake Forest. She also earned All-BIG EAST First Team honors this season, marking the first conference selection of her career.
Robles was also a second team selection after starting in 15 games in goal as a freshman. She notched a 1.72 goals-against average, only allowing 28 goals during her rookie campaign. Robles also made 52 saves to notch a .650 save percentage and posted three solo shutouts. During the season, she was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week on two occasions and also earned Rookie of the Week honors.
The Lady Monarchs finished the season with a 9-10 record and advanced to the semifinals of the BIG EAST Tournament. ODU took down five teams ranked in the NFHCA Coaches Poll during the season, including No. 5 Wake Forest.
