NORFOLK, Va. – Head coach Dom Manilla and the Old Dominion women’s tennis program announced the addition of Holly Hutchinson for the 2016-17 season on Thursday. Hutchinson has competed in Junior Wimbledon twice, has three wins against opponents in the top 100 of the ITF Rankings and was the No. 1 ranked player in Middlesex, England while also cracking the top three for all of the United Kingdom, with an LTA rating of 2.2.

“Coach Bickford and I are thrilled that Holly chose Old Dominion,” said Manilla. “Her high level of play, personality and competitive attitude make an already very strong Monarch squad even stronger. I am excited to see how Holly continues to develop at Old Dominion University.”

Hutchinson competes internationally in singles and doubles and has reached the top 200 of the ITF Rankings. She has compiled three top 100 victories, as she’s defeated Emelie Francati (ITF No. 46), Tessah Andrianjafitrimo (ITF No. 52) and Panna Udvardy (ITF No. 88).

"I decided to sign with ODU as the people involved are incredible and the facilities are amazing,” Hutchinson explained. “The tennis program has a great set up and I can't wait to be a part of the Monarch family in August.”
