DAVIDSON, N.C. – Old Dominion University men’s swimming and diving defeated Davidson over the weekend while the women’s team fell to Davidson and Marshall.

Both the men’s and women’s team started off the meet with a win in the 4X50 medley relay while sophomore diver Cory Moreno won both the 1 and 3-meter dives.

Vitor Sa won the first swimming event for the Monarchs with a triumph in the 200 free with a time of 1:44.55. 

Junior Colleen VandePoel grabbed the women’s teams first win with a victory in the 100 back stroke in a time of 58.21.

Freshman Ashley Brem earned a win in the 100 breast stroke with a time of 1:04.78.

Jacob Zeidler received his first win of the day in the 100 breast stroke with a time of 58.64 and got his second win of the weekend in the 100 freestyle in a time of 47.05.

Anton Mikaelsson grabbed another win for ODU in the 200 IM with a time of 1:56.51.

The 4X100 medley relay teams were winners while Chris Prewitt came out with a win in the 400 IM in a time of 4:08.44.

Reed Mathews was the final winner on the men’s side with a win in the 100 fly in a time of 50.44.

Senior Lucia Delcourt won the 200 back stroke in a time of 2:06.82.
