Q: Why did you choose Old Dominion?
A: I chose ODU because I liked the environment and the area around it. The football program was up-and-coming, just like my high school football program was. Old Dominion used a pass-first offense too, whereas my high school team would still run the ball on fourth-and-long.
Q: What is your favorite thing about Hampton Roads?
A: My favorite thing is that there are very nice people here. In my hometown, you don’t hear a lot of random “good mornings” and things like that. I hear a lot of people saying “thank you” and “have a great day,” which has changed me as a person. I have adapted to that, which is good.
Q: What is your major?
A: My major is recreation and tourism management.
Q: When did you start playing football?
A: I started playing football in sixth grade.
Q: What got you into football?
A: My father signed me up for it because I was getting in trouble in the neighborhood and around the house a lot.
Q: What other sports did you play growing up?
A: I played basketball for one year, and I ran track for two years in high school.
Q: Who is your role model?
A: My father is definitely my role model. He dropped out of middle school, and now he owns his own company and makes great money and provides for his family.
Q: Favorite food?
A: My favorite food is Chipotle.
Q: Favorite music artist?
A: My favorite music artists are Future, Shy Glizzy and a band called T.O.B.
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: I would have to say 2 Fast 2 Furious.
Q: Favorite NFL team?
A: My favorite NFL team is the New York Giants.
Q: Favorite athlete?
A: My favorite athlete is Dez Bryant.
Q: One place you want to travel to?
A: I want to travel anywhere outside the country. I’ve never been outside the country before.
Q: Who is one famous person you hope to meet?
A: I would like to meet Lauren London.
Q: Favorite movie?
A: My favorite movie is The Fast and the Furious.
Q: Hidden talents?
A: I can play the drums.
Q: Pregame rituals?
A: After we run out of the tunnel, I run to the corner of the endzone and just talk to God. I pray, and then all my butterflies are gone.
Q: Favorite actor/actress?
A: I don’t really have a favorite actor, but I would want to be like Will Smith.
