NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University sailing competed in three events over the weekend earning a third place finish to lead the way.
ODU sent two teams to the Kings Point Dinghy Open as the team of Jack Elkin, Abigail, Lockler, Alec Chicoine and Dane Pederson finished in third place. The Division B squad of Elkin and Lockler earned a fifth place spot while Chicoine and Pederson finished in fifth place.
The other ODU team to compete featured the Division A squad of Lee Dumaliang and Erin Sudek who earned a second place finish while the Division B team of Brandon Wilkins and Lily Brady took 13th place.
The team of Augie Dale, Kaylie Gallagher, Jeremy Herrin and Carter Little raced for the Monarchs at the Hoyt Trophy.
The Division A squad of Dale and Gallagher took 11th with a top position of ninth while Herrin and Little took 13th with a fifth place finish.
The final event for ODU was the MAISA Fall Championships where they finished in eighth place. Grace Mason and Cady Johnson grabbed fifth place in Division A with a pair of wins and six top five places. Olivia Windemuller and Katelyn Talley finished ninth in Division B with three top-fives.
