In the 22nd minute, Liberty’s Sami Santos found Baylee Gillmore who then crossed the ball to teammate Brittany Aanderud at the top of the box, where Aanderud was able to sneak her shot past ODU goalkeeper Erin Kinz. Aanderud’s second goal of the season gave the Lady Flames 1-0 advantage heading into the locker rooms after the first 45 minutes of play.
