SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Old Dominion University senior swimmer Reed Mathews qualified for the Olympic Trials in the 200 butterfly at the recent USA National Championships last week in San Antonio, Texas.
A native of Denver, Colo., Mathews swam a time of 2:01.29 in the 200 fly to qualify for the trials.
Mathews already holds ODU school records in the 100 and 200 fly and recorded NCAA B-cut times last season. He also was named honorable mention scholar All-American.
