NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University football scrimmaged at Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium in front of a couple of hundred fans Saturday night.
The defense controlled the scrimmage at the beginning forcing five three and outs before the offense gained a first down.
Freshman defensive end Tim Ward knocked down a pair of passes while TJ Ricks and Martez Simpson recorded a pair of tackles.
Ray Lawry and Jeremy Cox carried the load for the offense in the beginning, as both ripped off runs of 15 and 20 yards, respectively while Shuler Bentley tossed a 15-yard touchdown pass to Blair Roberts.
Later in the scrimmage Colin McElroy tossed a pair of touchdown passes to Travis Fulgham while Blake LaRussa threw a touchdown pass to Kyle Goddard.
The scrimmage ended with several possessions of two-minute drill, with the offense driving to the 30 before Aaron Young intercepted a pass ending the drive. The second drive Bentley tossed a touchdown pass to Zach Pascal.
