ODU Men's Swimming to Join the CCSAODU Men's Swimming to Join the CCSA

NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion University men’s swimming team has joined the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA), the University announced on Thursday.

Both the Monarchs and Florida Atlantic joined the CCSA and will compete with fellow league members Gardner-Webb, Howard, Incarnate Word, UMBC, NJIT, and VMI.  The CCSA Championships will be February 17-20 at the University of Georgia’s Gabrielsen Natatorium.

“I am very excited for our men’s team to join the CCSA. This move gives our men’s swimming and diving team great opportunity for future success,” ODU Head Coach Carol Withus said. “The CCSA has an exceptional list of membership teams that will challenge us and help make us better than ever before.”

“It was a great opportunity to work with the CCSA Administration, including Executive Director Ted Gumbert and administrator Mike Hagen. We want to thank them for their guidance and accepting us as a member,” ODU Senior Associate Athletic Directir/SWA Deb Polca said.  “We look forward to a great partnership with our men’s swimming program in the CCSA.
